Carnegie Hall

Carnegie Hall

This opera and concert venue was opened in 1891, when Tchaikovsky travelled from Russia for the first concert.

Since then, many of the world’s leading performers have packed the hall, among them Mahler, Caruso, Toscanini, Leonard Bernstein, Frank Sinatra and the Beatles. Some of the nation’s greatest symphony orchestras have regular seasons here.
