Guggenheim Museum

 

 

Modern art sometimes raises eyebrows, and when the museum opened in 1959 Frank Lloyd Wright’s setting for it certainly did.
The museum displays some of the priceless works which 19th-century multimillionaire Solomon Guggenheim collected from Europe, as well as some rare photographs of his contemporaries. Themed and other temporary exhibitions of the work of 20th-century artists are held from time to time.
