Tribeca

The name TriBeCa (Americans love acronyms!) has been manufactured from the TRIangle BElow CAnal Street.

A former sweatshop area of workshops and warehouses, TriBeCa today is an artistic neighbourhood with fashionable shops and restaurants, and some fine examples of cast-iron buildings.
In Greenwich Street is the TriBeCa Film Center, a production company partly owned by the actor Robert De Niro, who also has interest in the street-level restaurant, the TriBeCa Grill, where well-known screen personalities are often seen.
Close to that place you can see a fire station that looks familiar to you. It was featured prominently in the Ghostbusters films.
