World Financial Centre

 

New York’s newest residential and commercial community, Battery Park City, is dominated by the World Financial Centre, and occupies a site alongside the Hudson River.
Battery Park City was drastically affected by the September 2001 terrorist attacks on the neighbouring World Trade Centre. Nonetheless, the area has bounced back as a resilient home for many, as the nearby Ground Zero site continues to be excavated.
