From the Times Square subway station to Washington Square Park, New York locales have been cast front and center in thousands of films, television series, commercials and music videos.
Some of the greatest moments on camera have unfolded not only on the streets of the city, but in the parks, churches, bridges, restaurants and historical landmarks.
We all remember John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, gazing at the Manhattan skyline while crossing over the East River from Brooklyn. Even in bad movies, New York shines.
