
Site of the 1939 and 1964 New York World Fairs, the park is dominated by the Unisphere, a massive steel globe, and offers boating and marina, a swimming pool, indoor ice skating, cycling, theatres, the Queens Zoo (with North American animals in their natural habitats), a childrenâs farm zoo and the Queens Museum.
The park is home to the National Tennis Center where the annual US Open is held.
