

This is America’s most significant institution devoted to Jewish history and culture. The museum holds the largest collection of Jewish ceremonial objects in the western hemisphere, many of which were rescued from European synagogues before World War II.
Also displayed here are historical exhibits, art works and manuscripts. Exhibits demonstrate the poverty of Lower East Side immigrants and the Holocaust sufferings.
